~Dr. Michael Mason

quantum physicsYou’re on a first dinner date with an attractive person. The conversation is stimulating. You’re finding a lot in common. He’s obviously intelligent, has great manners, and has a good sense of humour. You’re getting excited and starting to wonder, could this be THE ONE? You are adamantly pro-choice, so after a pause in the conversation you ask, “So tell me, what’s your stand on abortion?”

His perception of abortion is unambiguous. Without hesitation, his answer hits you like a slap in the face, “Abortion is just wrong. There is never a justification for killing an unborn baby.” Suddenly the mood has shifted. Your perception of THE ONE is now the lost one.

“But what if she’s a poor sixteen-year-old and doesn’t want the baby? Why would you force an unwanted baby on her, her family, and on society?” Your perception is just as unambiguous.

“There’s always adoption.”

The argument is off and running and it becomes a battle of egos as to who is right and who’s wrong.

There is only one truly enlightened answer to the question of abortion. That answer is, “It depends.”

“Depends on what?” you’re probably wondering. Both of those opinions about abortion are different PERCEPTIONS. ALL IS PERCEPTION. The idea that there is an absolute right or wrong answer is a misperception. Perception is determined by perspective, or angle, and focus. The one against abortion is focusing on the baby. The one for is focusing on the mother, the family, and society.

Perception is at the heart of all the challenges of humanity. It can be broken down into two primary perceptions. There is ego perception and higher consciousness perception, or divine perception. Let’s call the latter simply Infinite Heart Perception. Of all opposites, right and wrong elicit the most emotion. It gives birth to the most arguments, fights, altercations, misunderstandings, and even wars.

Time for Change clockWhat would you most like to change, or improve in your life right now? Would a shift in perception make any difference?

What if there is a way to reconcile these perceived opposites? Is it possible for something to be hot and cold at the same time? Is it possible for something to be left and right at the same time? How about up and down, off and on, good and bad, yin and yang, male and female, Jewish and Christian? Are all opposites really opposite? Or is it all just a matter of perception? Einstein said, “All is relative.” Isn’t that another way of saying ALL IS PERCEPTION?

What if you discovered a perspective of life that can raise your consciousness along with the consciousness of humanity such that, when embraced, will increase overall prosperity, fulfillment, happiness, and quality of life? Would you want to learn about it? How entrenched, programmed, and invested are you in your present belief system – in your existing perceptions? How do you reconcile the diversity of contradictory belief systems of religions, political systems, and other philosophies of life, values, and ethics? How do you determine which ones are right and which are wrong? Is that even possible? What would that even look like?

Have you ever heard of the term etiology? Etiology is the study of causes. It’s one thing to try to find a cure for cancer after it already manifests. It’s another thing entirely to find what caused it in the first place and then eradicate that cause. Then there would never be the need for a cure. What if we could pin down the etiology of human suffering? Could we then apply ourselves to eradicating that cause? What if the cause of all human suffering is nothing more than misperception? Then all we need is a transformation of perception.

PQM Theory

Practical Quantum Metaphysics (PQM™™) is a system/technology for achieving the transformation of perception. It begins with the axiom that ALL IS PERCEPTION. One of the three axioms of PQM™ is, ALL IS PERCEPTION, and it is most strongly connected to the PRACTICAL of PQM™. That begs the question: Which misperception needs to be transformed? The answer is the misperception that we are separate. Let’s call this perception THE PRIME MIS-PERCEPTION. So if this is the prime misperception, then what shall we replace it with? The answer is the next PQM™ axiom, ALL IS ONE, which is most strongly connected with the Metaphysical of PQM™. Before elaborating, imagine the following scenario:

You are going to a family reunion in Denver. You are flying in from L.A. on Thursday and your sister is landing the next day. You are renting a car at the airport. She asks you to pick her up Friday afternoon at 4:30. It will be more than a one hour drive with Friday afternoon traffic… each way. You are ambivalent, conflicted. You want to help your sister, whom you love and care about. But you wonder why she’s making you go out of your way instead of renting her own car. She can afford it. She did the same thing on the last trip. Do you say yes, or no? This situation creates a mind conflict called cognitive dissonance, a complicated phrase for contradiction.

Life is filled with various degrees of CD, from the simple decision whether or not to see a movie that one of your friends highly recommends, while another excoriates it, to a life decision like which of two great job offers to take. It starts in childhood when your mom or dad tells you never to say bad words and then you catch them getting mad and cursing. In Sunday school you’re told that God is kind, loving, and compassionate yet you hear on the news about all the crime, wars, suffering, and other apparent injustices in the world. How are we to make any sense of a world so full of contradictions? Unfortunately for many people, the answer is simple. They ignore the contradiction that goes against their bias. This way they avoid cognitive dissonance. It doesn’t exist. Proof of this is the fact that in every religion, belief system, political system, social system, etcetera, there are contradictions that its believers must ignore. How do so many otherwise rational, intelligent people do this? They do it because they allow themselves to be controlled and manipulated by, to PERCEIVE, with their ego mind instead of their INFINITE HEART®.

There is one exception: PQM™. Why is PQM™ different? Because it has no dogma. Because it trains us to perceive with our Infinite Heart, which opens our minds to infinite possibilities. This allows our beliefs to be fluid and flexible, so they can change and be open to new information. How do we do that? Part of the answer lies in the third and final PQM™ axiom, most connected with the Quantum: ALL IS ENERGY. For proof of this take light as an example. All light is energy of various frequencies. You’ve might have heard of the famous quantum physics particle-wave conundrum. Is light a particle or a wave? The final answer of all the experiments of quantum physicists is IT’S BOTH! How could that be possible? This was originally a serious contradiction/cognitive dissonance that drove scientists a bit crazy until they realized it depends on your PERCEPTION. Remember that PQM™ axiom ALL IS PERCEPTION? Perception is determined by perspective and focus.  From the frozen moment in time perspective, it’s a photon. From the movement perspective, it’s a wave.

Let’s discuss the Perspective and focus aspects of perception.  Perspective is sometimes the angle and distance from the object that you are looking at.  But that’s only when we’re talking about the perspective of human vision. Perceiving with our IH expands our awareness to infinite perspectives. Of course, many of these perspectives exist only in our imagination since we don’t have infinite sensory capabilities. For example, we cannot identify two different people by smell alone the way a dog can, but we can imagine it and know it’s a fact without personally experiencing it physically like a dog.

Let’s pause here for a practical application of ALL IS PERCEPTION. How can the answer “it depends” and the perceptions of either/or, verses both/and, help us in our daily lives? One application is in disputes, whether between two individuals, groups, or even countries. Let’s use the controversy of abortion that I began with. The question is “abortion: yes, or no?” Do you know anyone who would answer “it depends?” Most people are passionately on one side or another.

Let’s say you are for abortion and your significant other is against and you’re both passionate and certain that you’re right and the other is wrong. You’re having a heated debate. You say “why would anyone want to force a girl, the daughter of poor parents, still in high school, to have a baby she doesn’t want and can’t afford?” Your perception of pro-abortion is based on your perspective of an unwanted baby to the girl, her family, and society, and you’re focusing on the burden it will be.

Your significant other answers, “Because the baby is a living human being and aborting it is murder.”

Before the situation gets belligerent you remind yourself that all is perception and this opens your Infinite Heart, which lets you perceive from another person’s perspective.

In conclusion, here’s how the three PQM™ axioms are tied together.

  1. PRACTICAL: ALL IS PERCEPTION.  Perception of what?
  2. QUANTUM: ALL IS ENERGY. This makes it easy to remember the three axioms with one phrase: PERCEPTION OF ONE ENERGY.
  3. METAPHYSICS: ALL IS ONE. Perception of One – One energy.
