Age of Awakening is not just a future possibility
The Age of Awakening is not just a future possibility;
it’s already happening.
Maryann Miller, Msc.D.
For most of my life, I have felt that humanity was moving toward something greater than we could fully understand. Even during times of uncertainty, conflict, and confusion, I have sensed a deeper current moving beneath the surface, quietly calling us to awaken to who we truly are and why we are here. My own spiritual journey has taught me that transformation does not usually happen all at once. It begins as a question, a stirring, a longing, or a moment of recognition that there must be more to life than what we see on the surface.
That is why the Age of Awakening feels so personal to me. It is not merely an idea I have studied or a vision I hold for the future. It is something I am witnessing in my own lifetime, in the lives of others, and in the growing desire of people everywhere to live with greater meaning, compassion, wisdom, and spiritual purpose.
In many ways, it feels like a homecoming I have been anticipating for decades. I believe we are drawing closer to a threshold humanity has been preparing to cross for a very long time. No matter what the world is experiencing on the surface, I sense that this awakening has already begun. It is in its early stages, quietly gathering strength, and may need only that extra nudge of shared awareness, compassion, and conscious intention to help move it over the top.
The Age of Awakening is marking a pivotal era in humanity’s evolution that resonates deeply with the Ageless Wisdom found in mystical traditions, sacred texts, and the growing field of consciousness studies. Throughout history, there have been moments when humanity was called to expand its understanding of itself and its relationship to life. What distinguishes this time is the unprecedented scale at which awakening is occurring, touching individuals across the globe simultaneously.
From a metaphysical perspective, the Age of Awakening symbolizes a collective tipping point, a time when large numbers of people rise above the limitations of ego-based perception. This isn’t about escaping the world, but about seeing through it with clearer eyes. As awareness deepens, individuals recognize the subtle patterns beneath appearances and reclaim the spiritual essence that has always been present within them. With this recognition comes a growing sense of responsibility, not only for one’s inner life, but for the influence one’s thoughts, intentions, and actions have on the greater whole.
This is also a time when the veil between matter and spirit appears thinner. Intuition becomes more trusted and inner truths rise to the surface. There is a heightened awareness, spontaneous insight, and a renewed sense of interconnectedness with all life. What once felt separate begins to reveal itself as part of a unified field of existence, and daily life becomes a place of conscious participation rather than unconscious repetition.
The Age of Awakening isn’t something happening out there; it’s happening inside you right now. You may have felt it: moments when old patterns suddenly feel unbearable, when surface-level answers no longer satisfy, and when you sense there’s something more you’re meant to remember about who you really are.
The era in which we are living is inviting us into profound inner work, not as punishment, but as a homecoming. Self-mastery, self-remembrance, conscious evolution: these aren’t lofty spiritual concepts. They’re the practical path of returning to the Light within us and recognizing what connects us to everyone else.
Awakening matters more than you think. Each time you choose compassion over reaction, presence over distraction, or truth over comfortable illusion, you’re not just changing yourself; you’re adding momentum to humanity’s collective shift. As you align with your Higher Self (your soul), you contribute to the greater coherence and healing our world so desperately needs.
You are not awakening alone, and your inner work is never just personal. It ripples outward in ways you may never see but that matter profoundly.
I would like to invite you to participate in a meditation. It offers a simple way to align your inner state and extend that sense of coherence outward to the world. It is a quiet practice of presence, connection, and shared responsibility. By bringing awareness and calm into your own inner space, you contribute to a wider field of coherence that supports healing on a planetary level. So, please join me in the following meditation.
A Meditation for Collective Coherence and Planetary Healing
Begin to settle into a comfortable position where your body feels supported and at ease. Let your hands rest naturally, and close your eyes if that feels comfortable for you.
Now begin a slow, steady breathing rhythm. Inhale gently through your nose to a count of seven. Hold the breath softly for a count of seven. Then exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of seven. Repeat this cycle three times, allowing each breath to release tension and invite calm.
As you breathe, feel the gentle rise and fall of your body. Notice your mind beginning to settle and your nervous system relaxing. With this sense of calm, turn your awareness inward. Thoughts, emotions, and sensations may arise. Allow them to be present without judgment or effort. Simply notice them, and then let them pass as you continue resting in the rhythm of your breath.
Now imagine your awareness settling. With each breath, your inner space becomes more ordered and calm.
Sense your thoughts, emotions, and intentions gradually aligning, not by force, but through attention. Feel what it is like when your inner field becomes coherent.
When this sense of alignment feels steady, gently expand your awareness beyond yourself. Imagine this coherence extending outward, first into the space around you, then into your community, and gradually across the planet.
Visualize countless individuals around the world engaging in their own moments of awareness, presence, and loving care. Sense these moments linking together, forming a web of coherence that supports Life, Love, and Light.
You do not need to direct or control this process. Simply recognize that your presence contributes to the whole. Each moment of clarity strengthens the collective field.
Rest here for a few minutes, allowing a sense of quiet responsibility and shared care to settle within you.
When you are ready, gently return your awareness to your body and your surroundings. Carry this sense of coherence into your next thought, your next word, and your next action.
Silently sound the Om
And so it is.
