God’s Instructions for Playing the Game of Life, Life Is Mysterious, Higher Consciousness Is Essential, Planetary Energies Are Clues

Life is mysterious. And yet we forever seek the truth. Sometimes we feel we’ve found it, and yet since life is an evolutionary happening, can we ever really be sure? There is knowledge we gain along the way. There are clues to unravel. The Universe is cyclical. Astrological movements occur in cycles, timing the evolution of consciousness and the worldly actions we take to bring it about as we play the exquisite game of life.
There are so many games we play in life. “Games” meaning all the good ways of engaging in different realities according to our destiny and desires replete with goals, purposes and outcomes in sync with them. There is one game that includes and surpasses them all. It has come to be known as The Master Game1—the attainment of Higher Consciousness.
In my many unpublished vlogs to myself I declared that I am campaigning for higher consciousness. Is higher consciousness possible? I would say it’s required. Okay, the important question: Why should we seek to attain higher consciousness? And how do we achieve it? Is there a manual?
God’s Instruction Manual for the Game of Life
It has become a popular meme in modern culture to say, “life didn’t come with an operating manual.” That’s simply not true : ) Being a maverick Aquarius rising I would like to say … well, yes we have been given many instructions and perhaps we simply haven’t realized it.
Then where do we find such instructions? There are tools and access points. Meditation is certainly high on the list. We receive ageless wisdom through enlightened masters. Divinely inspired messages are spoken to us through people we encounter every day. We are given “mysterious clues” through the psychic sciences of numerology, sacred geometry and human design.
Of profound significance for higher consciousness in daily life, God’s instructions point us to the stars. Astrological energies become faithful guides when we learn how to use them. The planets assist and yes, we must also do our part.

Neptune into Aries – It’s Personal
We shall focus here on the 14-year cycle of Neptune in Aries as we experience it for the first time ever. It’s an outer planet affecting the collective yet in a way that is deeply personal for us. Aries in the natural zodiac is the House of Self. Neptune rules vision and spirituality, creativity and imagination including movie-making and music. Aries rules the I am Self, leadership, courage, initiation energy and forward motion. So we take the clues: It’s time for each one of us to personally envision The New Movie of Our Life.
Neptune moved from Pisces into Aries on March 30, 2025 and it shall remain there until May 23, 2039 with a brief retrograde back into Pisces from October 22, 2025 until January 26, 2026. The benevolent planetary cycles always give us time to re-group and move forward again.
Let’s explore together why higher consciousness is essential and how we can reach for the stars and follow the clues for our own conscious evolution.
HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS IS ESSENTIAL
What is higher consciousness? Why do we need it? We all speak about it. On a conscious path we yearn for it. I myself have said repeatedly—it’s the only way out of this mess, Ollie. Only a quantum leap in consciousness will do.
People close to me would say, “Dianne, you can’t just talk about higher consciousness as the solution to everything” and I would quickly reply, “Why not?” I can understand their viewpoint. A full scale awakening of consciousness for all humanity. It sounds general, abstract, intangible, inaccessible and maybe even unattainable.
People prefer to talk about how to change the circumstances we read about in mainstream news as an attempt to bring about positive change. We need that, too. With all due respect, that method alone hasn’t actually worked—ever. Can the world become a better place beyond divisiveness, blame-shame, and attack-attack prevalent today without a literal quantum leap to higher consciousness? I don’t think so. You cannot legislate morality, kindness, compassion and the bliss of unity. You can awaken human virtues since they are inherently the higher aspects of our nature. Does the attitude of caring, gratitude, compassion equate to higher consciousness? Not really.
Higher consciousness is typically regarded as the experience of transcendence beyond any automatic conditioned beliefs, opinions and biases. It is unity consciousness, a universal consciousness of soul awakening beyond the limits of individual ego identity to live in our Divine nature. It is an enlightened state. Yet, it is a both/and. Our ego identity is the character role we play and our access to higher consciousness.
Why is higher consciousness essential? To QuantumThink® this, reality is context-dependent. If you remain in a lesser evolved state of consciousness—and you attempt to make changes from that context you might just get surface cosmetic changes. No real shift takes place. It’s like pouring a cup of colored dye in the ocean and expecting the ocean to become that color. We must address the source, not just the surface to transform ourselves and our world to an harmonious state where all peoples are fulfilled, expressing their purpose in an abundant, peaceful world.
In the previous article that is part of this series, Astrological Energies for Transformation, my esteemed co-columnist, Carolyn “C.J.” Mulkerrin gave a brilliant exposition of how our collective consciousness changes in quality as new planets and dwarf planets are discovered. That’s part of God’s manual for us.
It sounds abstract when we talk about “humanity.” We are individuals here on our dazzlingly beautiful Planet Earth. This time of the Great Shift indicates a leap to higher consciousness. I like to think of it as the awakening of souls. We’re all awakening to our Divine state. It includes our human state. How do we achieve it? Okay, it’s time to consult God’s Instruction Manual : )
PLANETS AND ZODIAC SIGNS HAVE PRIMITIVE AND EVOLVED STATES
How can we use astrological energies to assist us in maintaining higher consciousness?
I think of planets as living beings with their own unique purpose, wisdom and knowledge to contribute. Planets have an evolved state and a less evolved state (less conscious), just like we do. My mentor in astrology used to say that planets and zodiac signs have a “primitive” and an “evolved” aspect to them. We’re using the term “primitive” here in its definition as “an early stage of development” (Merriam-Webster.com). Some astrologers today refer to what she called “primitive” as “the shadow side” of them.
What if we focus only on the most evolved characteristic energy of planets, signs, houses, and aspects? We can do that. There is nothing stopping us from attuning to the most highly evolved characteristics of planets and zodiacal signs.
Oh, but there are real circumstances you might be thinking. Yes, there are circumstances technically out of our control. May I remind everyone who realizes we are the creators of our experience of reality: it is not the circumstances, rather, it is in our relationship to circumstances where our power lives. What you focus on expands. Therefore, focus on the highest.
How Primitive and Evolved Astrological Energies Play Out
For example, Mars is the ruler of Aries. The primitive characteristics associated with Mars are anger, impulsiveness and aggression. Ancient Romans considered Mars the god of war. The high evolved Martian traits that influence Aries are passion and energy, bravery, fearlessness and assertiveness, positive characteristics of courageous leadership and the ability to initiate new projects with verve. The primitive, lower evolved side of Aries is prone to self-centeredness, frustrated outbursts and the inability to carry projects all the way through to completion.
It is just common sense to see that focusing on the evolved aspects of Neptune in Aries is tantamount to living in a high state of consciousness. We have the great opportunity to live our higher consciousness in action.
Astrologers tend to gravitate toward the term “spiritual warrior” when interpreting how we can be during the cycle of Neptune in Aries. It makes me wonder, isn’t that an oxymoron, that is, incongruous with one another? Warrior by definition brings separation. One has to have something or someone you are warring against (or in favor of), even against yourself.
Let’s Get Paradoxical
All astrological energies can lead us to higher consciousness.
Paradox means “a statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true.” Perhaps we don’t need to be a warrior to hold an intent for spirituality and yet we can still tap into the fierce passion of Mars ruled Aries in our quest for higher consciousness. We can even use anger to our advantage. Consider that emotions in and of themselves are neither positive or negative in the sense of being fixed and absolute. To quote Shakespeare’s Hamlet, “nothing is either good or bad—only thinking makes it so.” We can quite literally take any trait and relate to the high side of it.
Let me explain with an excerpt from my book, Do You QuantumThink? I wrote in the chapter Emotions and the Power of Mind:
“People tend to think of emotions as “positive emotions” or “negative emotions.” Joy is good, anger is bad; anxiety is bad, love is good. From a new world view there is no absolute reality “out there.” Reality is Context-dependent. Therefore, anger in and of itself is not negative. Anxiety in and of itself is not negative. Rather than classify emotions in and of themselves as positive or negative we can make a distinction between the emotion itself and the effect of the emotion on our state.
For example: When you have an Intent for excellence in sports in order to get to the next level, anger can be good; you can use it. The emotion of love can become negative if it becomes obsessive love. The emotion of anxiety can become positive when you are excited and energized watching your favorite athlete or team win.”

Another example of automatic assumptions that we cling to is the thought that we have to have pain in order to evolve our consciousness. This one is challenging to let go of as “truth” because it has become so deeply entrenched in seekers’ collective psyche. Naturally, if we do experience pain we want to hold the highest interpretation of it possible to inspire our learning and evolution. The point of mentioning it in this context is for us to consider that the necessity for pain for us to grow and evolve is not an absolute “truth.”
If you and I are creating reality—why create that one? Interestingly enough, Neptune is just wrapping up the end of the previous phase of its14-year cycle in Pisces, often identified with suffering and pain and delusion. With the advent of Aries energy, we can consider ourselves free of the necessity for pain to grow. We can breathe a sigh of relief!

It’s time to turn the page in God’s Instructions for the Game of Life. We’re starting a new chapter. With Neptune—the sign of spirituality and mysticism, vision and imagination—in Aries we are given the gift to make spirituality practical in high intensity action living color.
Neptune is beckoning us to develop a new “never-before” imagined vision for ourselves personally and to see how it fits into our vision for the world. Aries is summoning us to become the courageous leader of whatever unique gifts and talents we have been bestowed with by virtue of our soul’s incarnation in human form.
Neptune, the soulful, creative dreamer of boundless visions is also the cosmic dissolving agent for what is no longer relevant. Let it go. Aries is about identity. It is on the cusp of the first House in the natural chart. Isn’t it logical? At the very beginning we boldly declare, “I am!”

Imagine with me now as we tune into the characteristics of Neptune in Aries how we are elevated to higher consciousness simply by attuning ourselves to the cosmic cues. Who are we? Visionary and mystical, initiators of actions bold enough to produce, direct and assume the leading role in the new motion picture now playing in the entertaining theater of The Master Game.
This is the first time any of us has experienced the energy of Neptune in Aries. What an amazing realization! We are so fortunate!! The planets are giving us so much power to start anew.
Saturn, the planetary ruler of time will enter Aries in May further activating Aries energies. Saturn is coming to tell us, the time is now to get started. Uranus, currently in Taurus the builder is cajoling us: build on what you have known and accomplished until this monumental moment and make it unexpected. Make it magical. Make it miraculous. You can do it.
When you see all this astrological energy being activated in Aries it’s as if God’s instructions are telling you, okay it’s time. Standing in the perspective of your Higher Self how can you use the energy of Aries to create the vision of the new you. Use the intensity and raw authenticity to activate your leadership, your courage, your pioneering spirit. Develop the new you and take it into the world.
In Sanskrit there is a beautiful word, prasad. It means an offering, “a gift of God.”
You’ve come into to this lifetime with amazing gifts. Now your job is to give them. To work from the context of higher consciousness is to step into your leadership. Every one of us is here to take the lead in exactly what has been uniquely ours and our to give. Make your offering.
The gift from Aries, courageousness, is sparked by the fact that you already have what it takes to play a leading role in this era on this planet. Will you have the automatic, unaware habits we call Least-action Pathways arising—the doubts, fears, anxieties and trepidations? Perhaps. And yet that is what courageousness is—to go beyond the circumstances including your own limiting thoughts. When you are identified with higher consciousness you are not identified with any insecurities, self-doubts, or fear of the future. You are identified with your strength of who you are.
To evolve is to be established in higher consciousness, the state that transcends circumstances, knowing you are here for a Divine Purpose. It is knowing that you are daily being given the instructions to play The Master Game, the magnificent game of life at the highest level of dignity, devotion and divine expectation.

THE PRACTICE
Neptune in Aries – The New Movie of Your Life
Following astrological energy is like planting seeds in the right season. Plant the seeds now. You have 14 years in this cycle so there’s no need to put pressure on yourself. Focus on your soul’s evolutionary purpose.
Important Clues: We are making spirituality practical. Aries is the sign of leadership and action.
Think of it as “the new movie of your life.” You are the writer, producer, director and lead actor.
- Center yourself in inner silence preparing for an active meditation.
- Maintain your Intent for clear thinking.
- Contemplate using your Intuition and Creative Imagination:
What do you really want now going forward? How do you want to relate to yourself?
What is the next expression of your leadership in view of your soul’s purpose?
What do you need to learn to play your lead role in the new movie of your life?
What three actions can you take to begin? You have time. This is a 14-year cycle.
Tip: If possible, discover which house in your chart is the Aries house so you have more information about the area of life to focus on the new you. Recall from my one-minute lesson in the Feb newsletter article that the 12 Houses represent the areas of life.
For example, Aries is my second House that rules worth, including money and personal inner resources. Therefore I am looking at how I can evolve my consciousness to step into my leadership, experience of self-worth and increase my money?

It’s very important right now to stay in the light and at the highest vibration and to be the Force in the creative process that’s going on. To make wisdom practical you take what’s inside you and you put it out into the world.
