 Do You Have A Vision?

Simon Sinex

Simon Sinek’s first TEDx Talk on “How Great Leaders Inspire Action” is the 3rd most viewed video on TED.com. His 2009 book on the same subject, Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action (2009) delves into what he says is a naturally occurring pattern, grounded in the biology of human decision-making, that explains why we are inspired by some people, leaders, messages and organizations over others. Finding your vision in life can be an insurmountable task – worse than that, it’s a motivational poster catchphrase that’s difficult in which to find any authenticity. This is why Sinek doesn’t recommend you jump from zero to visionary in one leap. He’s the first to admit it’s daunting, and in this video, he calls us out for being obsessed with visionaries. Jane ElliottThe Anatomy of Prejudice with Black Lives – ALL LIVES  Matter activist Jane Elliott. Jane Elliott has been an activist for racial injustice since 1968. Because the world is bringing racism and discrimination to the forefront of humanity’s consciousness, the IFGT wants to share a video interview with Jane Elliott, a champion of the cause.

Lyratah Barrett, host of the Institute for Global Transformation®‘s Let’s Talk Change podcast, had the distinct honor of interviewing Jane Elliott this month. Ms. Elliott was also interviewed on this topic by Jimmy Fallon, and has interviews scheduled with CNN, National Geographic, and other national organizations. Because Ms. Elliott was unfamiliar with the Zoom platform, the first part of the video was conducted by cell phone. Watch the video interview here.

Jane Elliott says, “The idea of One Race, the Human Race, is an idea whose time has come. Jane Elliott, [87 years young], internationally known teacher, lecturer, diversity trainer, and recipient of the National Mental Health Association Award for Excellence in Education, exposes prejudice and bigotry for what it is, an irrational class system based upon purely arbitrary factors.”

For information on what we all can do to help, you may visit The Tipping Point, the Oneness Movement, and The Art of Relating Webinar. In Seth Adamson’s IFGT audio webinar, he explores how we can transform the Us Against Them mentality so prevalent in today’s world.
