Year of the HorseWow!  2026 is already here!  Happy New Year!  In Chinese Astrology 2026 will be the year of the Fire Horse.  So if you think 2025 went by quickly, buckle up because 2026 may go even faster!   In Chinese Astrology, 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse (Bǐng Wǔ 丙午), a combination known for its intensity, momentum, and uncompromising drive toward change. This pairing brings together two of the most dynamic forces in the Chinese zodiac system.

The last time we had a year of the Fire Horse was 1966.  Some themes here in the US at a collective level that year were, escalation of the Civil Rights Movement,  emergence of a youth led cultural evolution,  fracturing of old authoritarian systems,  expansion beyond Earth consciousness due to the Soviet’s soft lunar landing on the moon and ARPA (later DARPA) was laying the ground work for network computing.  We should also note that China’s cultural revolution launched by Mao Zedong was in full force.  The Red Guard was targeting intellectuals, such  as teachers, colleges, intellectuals, historical data and artifacts as cleansing the “old ideas”.
