The Universal Language of Astrology, Keywords of the Stars – SEO for Higher Consciousness

The planets speak to us. Messages, insights, suggestions on new directions. However, it is more profound than even receiving guidance for our mundane affairs. The stars speak a Universal Language that transcends cultures. It should also transcend beliefs, opinions, and biases though oftentimes it doesn’t. If it’s a Universal Language, then we should all understand each other easily and very well. Just as we use keywords online for search engine optimization (SEO), we can use Keywords of the stars for the ultimate optimization—Higher Consciousness.
First Things First
Our purpose in this discussion is to learn how we can use the Keywords of the stars for Higher Consciousness. As a prelude … let’s delve into a few important messages of transformation the energies of the time are calling forth to us now.
This year 2025 is replete with “9” energy—the energy of wrap-ups, completions and closings. Thus, we are instantly led to the “1”—new beginnings. In our quest for Higher Consciousness it may not as yet occurred to us that these astrological-numerological harbingers of endings means it’s time to say goodbye to the all-too-familiar themes that keep us mired in the old. As we say goodbye, the skies open wide to our new visions for ourselves and the world .
The four outer planets that heralded an unprecedented event as each of them entered new signs within a 15-month period signaled an extraordinary sea change. They also retrograded to give us a chance to reflect as we enter a new age. Planets retrograde not so we’ll go backwards to repeat past patterns in modern costumes. They retrograde to inspire us to what we should leave behind in the dust. This is really, really good advice that the language of Astrology offers us in light of the mind-boggling societal changes surrounding us. May I suggest a few examples we might be wise to leave in the dust. I realize these might not be too popular to consider : )
Say Goodbye to the Shadow. We love to focus on the “shadow” side of planets and signs. We hold it in place with our conscious attention on it. It’s worth repeating again and again to remind ourselves – what we focus on expands. What’s the point of conscious creation if we’re going to focus on what we don’t want rather than what we do want?
Bid Farewell to the Obsession with Healing. There seems to be an obsession with “healing.” Disclaimer, first. Let’s make a distinction that in the physical, yes, healings are necessary! What I’m referring to are all the ways we drone on with diatribes, and cast aspersions on how horrible we’ve been, both collectively and individually.
In my book, Do You QuantumThink? I offer a different perspective. Consider there is nothing “wrong” with us. We have simply been in an earlier phase of evolution that we are now leaping beyond.

These and other concepts and constructs don’t fit an awakened shift to Higher Consciousness. As long as we stay down with them, we don’t ascend to heavenly bliss.
What Will You Leave In the Dust?
What can I leave behind? Discrete. I learned that term years ago from a client who was engaged in a modern esoteric practice. To “discrete” is to dissolve mental or emotional constructs by removing your conscious attention and energy from it. It cannot sustain existence without your consciousness holding it in place.
I “leave something in the dust” energetically. My husband and I were taking a course in Energy Mastery. When the instructor was teaching us to shift something energetically, and we wanted to know, how do we do that? he would say, just use your consciousness. Yes, of course! Consciousness, the clay of creation for human beings. When used with Intent, consciously with awareness, it can move mountains. Maybe not literal physical mountains, yet symbolic mountains we can move with certainty. And yes, with consciousness alone, you see it vanish.
To infuse a little quantum science into the mix, one could ask: where does the unwanted energy or thought go? From the manifest actual world back into the unmanifest possible world—never to be seen again.
Symbols Embody Worlds of Meaning
I’ve been thinking a lot about symbols lately. Every September my husband Alan and I have the great good fortune to celebrate his birthday, our wedding anniversary and my birthday. These events are amazing symbols ingrained with treasured meanings. Birthdays celebrate the miracle of our very existence. Wedding anniversaries acknowledge the gift of love expressed in shared partnership.
Underlying every symbol is a meaning and significance we ascribe to the symbol. The meanings vary according to the tradition you follow. Those of us we refer to as “on the path”—what does the path symbolize? Seekers. Seekers of Truth and our Divine nature on the path of Higher Consciousness. Numerology, Astrology are all symbolic systems pointing to meanings we have the privilege to use as guideposts for living our best life, the good life, for one and all.
How can we use astrological symbols to ascend to Higher Consciousness and most importantly, to stay there established in that state?
My astrology teacher,* calls the astrological wheel “our game-board.” I love that metaphor. What does a game-board symbolize? There is a journey with a goal. The goal is to win or at least to fulfill on a promise or a destiny laid out before us on the board which symbolizes our life. Reading the natal chart and the transits (current energies of the time as the planets orbit) we recognize the twists and turns different “energy weather” events present to us. We see the opportunities, the time to engage and the time to initiate, the time to reflect and retreat.
The astrological wheel is a game-board we can learn so much from just the basics of it.
The good news is that even if you are not fluent in the Universal Language of Astrology, you can use the Keywords for each zodiacal sign to increase your knowledge and to elevate your state.

Keywords of the Stars – SEO for Higher Consciousness
A basic, clearly understandable place to begin is referred to as the Keywords for each zodiacal sign. As an avid student of Astrology for many years, I was initially planning to simply write from my own intuitive knowing what the Keywords were (Note: this is Western Astrology). Then I decided to ask ChatGPT to provide me a list of the astrological Keywords in to find out if there was a “standard” set of Keywords that I should convey to you. And that was indeed the case.
I looked at the list and it didn’t feel quite right to me. I asked our friendly AI about it and discovered there are two sets of Keywords, classic and modern. As I read the modern Keywords most of them seemed more attuned to the way I think about them. So I offer a chart of both the classic and the modern for you to contemplate and use.
Aries is the beginning or first sign of the zodiac and the rest of the 11 signs follow in sequence. When you follow this natural sequence of the game-board of Astrology, it will make so much sense to you. [In a previous article I explained about the 12 sections of the chart called the Houses or areas of life.]
For your contemplation and learning, here is a simplified version of the 12 Houses and the areas of life they “rule” alongside the graphic of the Keywords. Note that each of the Keywords and Houses and what each symbolizes logically follows from the previous House. It is one holistic and holographic system. As you match the Keywords to the Houses you will enhance your Universal Language aptitude immensely!
Suggested Practice
How do you use this knowledge as your “ultimate optimization” for Higher Consciousness? My suggestion is to contemplate each set of Keywords (i.e., classic and modern), and create how you wish to uplevel that area of life for yourself.
For example, looking at the 1st House with Aries ruler—who do you want to express yourself as now? (Keyword: I Am) And, in what sense can you step up as a leader? (Keyword: I Lead) Follow this practice with each of the 12 sets of Keywords. You will be amazed at how you elevate your consciousness simply by tuning in to the profound dimensional resonance we call Astrology.
